Spring makeup look 2017

Spring makeup look 2017

Hello my gorgeous beauts, can anyone guess what today is? You got er, it’s the first day of Spring! That is honestly so exciting, pce out winter c ya next year. I absolutely love spring, I think it is so beautiful especially when it comes down to makeup and different gentle looks you can create. I decided to obviously use my “Modern Renaissance Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills”. I wanted to use the more pinky shades within this look! I think that it’s absolutely perfect for the Spring weather, don’t ya think? I also decided to do something a little bit different this time. I am going to jump right into the eyes of my tutorial, and not really go into too much depth with the face makeup application. Usually, I tend to stick to the same routine when it comes to my face makeup, which is a personal preference. If you guys are interested in the products I use for my face I highly recommend checking out my other recent makeup tutorial videos. Okay, let’s jump right into those eyes!

image1 (44)

  1. First things first, you are going to grab your Palette and lightly drag “Buon Fresco” into the crease. This is such a beautiful purple colour and looks absolutely stunning.

image2 (21)

2) Next, you are going to take the shade “Tempera” and apply this across the entire lid. This is a cream colour but is extremely pigmented. I thought this made the look look very subtle and gentle, just like Spring!

image3 (15)

3) Next, you are going to take the shade, “Love Letter”, and apply this to the outer V. You just want to ensure you are only taking small amounts, as all of these shades are extremely pigmented. I built up the product to my desired look.  This shade helps create more of a dramatic look.

4) I then went in with the shade “Vermeer” and applied this to the inner corners of my lids. I then took my black liner and made a winged effect and also dragged the liner across the top of my lids. After applying my liner, I went in with my favourite mascara right now the , “Benefit they’re real” mascara and applied this to my upper and lower lashes.

image4 (10)

5) Lastly, I finished this look with some pink lipstick. I used my Mac lip liner in the shade , “Soar” and coloured in my whole lips without using an actual lipstick. I then put on some false lashes that I purchased from Shoppers and Voila!

Let me know what you guys thought of this super easy look! I hope you guys had a wonderful first day of Spring! Be sure to follow my other social media accounts to stay updated with my latest blogs,

St pattys day inspired makeup look 2017

St pattys day inspired makeup look 2017

Hey guys ! Welcome to my channel if you are new , I hope you guys are having a wonderful week so far . I am hoping today is way better than yesterday , just was not a pleasant day at work whatsoever and that bummed me out for the rest of the night …. welcome to my anxiety ! Anywho guess what is slowly approaching and when I mean slowly I mean like … tomorrow ! St pattys day ! This year I actually had the time to plan out my costume and was not really rushed when doing so . I thought I would share with you guys what I came up with last night in regards to the makeup I will be wearing tomorrow for st pattys day!

So obviously you have to wear green … it’s a must . That means you have to have some sort of green inspired makeup tutorial as well ! At first I started looking on Pinterest to see what I could find cause I literally did not own anything that was green let alone green makeup ! The thought of green makeup scares the shit out of me , mainly because it’s just out of my comfort zone … I never wear green whatsoever . When I went to shoppers to look for some makeup I came across some stunning green shades ! Even the lady at the front desk of cosmetics stated ,” this colour is going to look great with your eyes !” , I guess that’s the perk of having hazel eyes… green makes them pop ! So I am going to share with you beauts the look that I came up with , everything was relatively cheap as I kept it drugstore related for today ! I am quite pleased with the end result and I think you guys will like it too !

Wash your Face

1) You guys should know the drill already ! Make sure your face is washed thoroughly and apply some moisturizer ! I already jumped right in to applying my foundation, more specifically my ” urban decay all nighter foundation“‘which I use for all my nights out.  I then set my foundation with my usual ” mac studio fix powder “. As you guys can already tell I usually stick to a very similar face routine , mostly because I have found amazing products that work best for me ! It’s all about experimenting . I then jumped right away into my brows as well , don’t want to waste any time do we ?! I will show you guys pictures of the products I had used below .

Highlighting and Contouring

2) Next , I jumped right into my contouring and highlighting to finish up the face before moving onto the eyes. I decided to use my ” Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit palette” in the shade “143” and applied this to my cheekbones , bridge of my nose and sides of my forehead as well as my jawline ! I then went over top of that to emphasize everything more with my “Two Faced Chocolate Soleil Palette “‘. I found the two combined look absolutely flawless ! I then highlighted my face using the new “Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Concealer ” in the shade “ light “‘and applied this to the middle of my forehead , bridge of my nose ,underneath my cheekbones as well as underneath my eyes for those dark circles ! I didn’t really find this concealer mind blowing at all but it was not terrible . I would prefer more of a thicker and matte concealer as I found this to be a bit runny .

3) Now , let’s get into those green eyes ! You want to make sure you have primed your eye lids first before applying any eyeshadow . I always use my favourite ,” Kat Von D High Voltage Primer “. After applying your primer you’re ready to jump right in ! I recently purchased a green eyeshadow that I will be using from Nyx Cosmetics , which was called , “Primatic Shadows ” in the shade “Jaded“.  Guys … GUYS… this shadow is amazing ! I didn’t know if I would like it because well… it is green ! But it brings out my eyes so much let alone I love the shimmer and hint of gold in it ! I highly recommend purchasing this shadow to try out . It’s amazing because it’s a very subtle shimmery green but I can use it again and not just keep it for st. pattys , you know?  So I highly highly recommend this ! I placed this shade all over my lid ensuring I get as close to the upper lash line as possible , and getting at close to the inner corners but know right in there.

4) I know what you guys are thinking and trust me , I was thinking the exact same thing ! I thought wow that’s a lot of green ! But now we are going to go in with the “Modern Renaissance Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills “‘and take the shade “Cyprus Umber”‘and apply this to our crease. I just took a random fluffy and began working away . You want to make sure with this colour you only take small bits at a time just because this colour is so pigmented !

Winged Liner

5) I then went in with my winged liner and applied a nice wing to the outer corners for a more dramatic effect .

6) After applying my winged eyeliner , I went in with the green shade we were using previously and applied this underneath my lower lash line making the eyes pop ! I also went in with an eyeliner that I purchased from shoppers as well under the Nyx Cosmetics line and it is the “Retracktable Eyeliner“‘in the shade “ Aqua Green“, and applied this along my waterline . I really liked the shade of this green and wanted something a little bit different. The hint of blue is extremely beautiful as well !

7) I then went in with my mascara and used my “Benefit They’re Real Mascara ” and applied this to the top and bottom lashes . I also did some finishing touches on my face and went in with my “Glow Kit” and applied the shade “Kitty Kat” underneath my cheekbones, middle of my forehead , bridge of my nose and the top of my upper lip.  I thought this shade looked absolutely flawless with this look and I am super impressed about this palette in general ! I also went in with my fake lashes in “flirty” from shoppers. Lastly , I took some sparkles that I purchased from Sephora a while back and it was the “Urban Decay Moondust Liquid Eyeshadow ” in the shade “Chem Trail” and applied just a tiny bit underneath my lower lashes right in the middle as well as on my lid in the middle . This product is very pigmented so I used the tiniest bit and blended it out .

Guys ! Look how flawless this look turned out ! And the best part is, it was really so simple and hardly took any time at all ! I also took a nude lipstick and applied this to my lips since my eyes were so dramatic !

I really hope you guys enjoyed this st. pattys day inspired makeup tutorial I really did love creating this look! Be sure to let me know what look you guys tried for tomorrow or if you recreated the same look 🙂 Be sure to follow my other social media accounts to stay updated!

Pink Spotlight Makeup Tutorial- Modern Renaissance

Pink Spotlight Makeup Tutorial- Modern Renaissance

image1 (35)

Good afternoon my gorgeous beauts! How is your lazy Sunday going? Technically, I usually always like to sleep in when it comes to the weekend, but since having to get up super early last week, my body is used to getting up around 7:30-8…. terrible! On the bright side, however, I can get a lot of shit done and literally get it done before noon which is unreal! I know that I had uploaded a boomerang clip on my Instagram indicating that I would be uploading some makeup tutorials for you guys based on the new Modern Renaissance Palette that I purchased at Sephora from Anastasia Beverly Hills. Guys….. GUYS… one more time GUYS. Can I just say this is one of the most stunning makeup palettes that I have ever seen and used in my life. The colours are absolutely flawless and you can literally create a million looks with this palette which is amazing. I honestly did not really hear much about this palette until my friend Katherine Steele purchased this a while back and also some of my other friends had purchased this as well. Disclaimer, any pictures that I upload onto my blog that look completely profesh…. Katherine has probably taken them. Be sure to look up the hashtag #ksteelephotography on Instagram to check out some of her pictures, they are amazing and she is so talented. Anywho, so I finally got my hands on this palette and let me just say….for sure not disappointed and neither will you guys be! I also love how this palette pushes me out of my comfort zone when it comes to colours. Usually, I like to stick with the brown shades because I know they compliment my hazel eyes well. Today I was inspired on Pinterest to show you guys a “pink spotlight makeup tutorial” using this palette. I know what some of you guys are thinking, why the hell that name? Basically, I am going to create a subtle pink smokey eye attaching to the inner corner of my eyes. Lastly, I will be applying a shimmer in the middle to create a spotlight effect. Shall we get started?

image1 (10)

  1. First, you need to ensure you are starting off with a freshly cleansed face. I find I look so different without makeup! But hey, I love my makeup so it’s all good! After cleansing my face, I go in with a hydrating moisturizer and eye cream and apply this.

image3 (14)

2. Next, I go in with my favourite heavy duty foundation that I have previously mentioned in other blog posts, the “Urban Decay All nighter foundation” and apply this all over my face with a damp beauty blender. After letting the foundation sit on my face for a few minutes, I go in with a setting powder , my “mac studio fix powder“, and apply this all over my face as well.

image2 (20)

3. I also fix up them brows. I literally hate my brows without any makeup product on them, they are so sparse and skinny which sucks but thank god for some “Anastasia Beverly Hils Dip Brow” in the shade Taupe.

image1 (36)

4. After these first few steps are complete, I always like to finish off my face first before moving onto the eyes. I am going to start contouring and highlighting my face using the new “Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit” in collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills. I purchased this a couple of days ago and I am in love. The lady working at Sephora informed me to use the darker shades in this kit as a contour so I decided to give it a shot! I applied this product to the outer bridge of my nose, the sides of my forehead, my jawline and my cheek bones. Since this is a very shimmery bronzer I decided to also go in with my “Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit” and go over top of all the areas with the first bottom brown. I found this helped enhance all the areas while still keeping that beautiful shimmer.

image2 (21)

( I used the shade 143 when contouring my face)

image3 (14)

image4 (8)

5. Next, I am going to go in with my highlighter which is the “Maybelline Instant Age rewind Eraser” in the shade light and apply this to the middle of my forehead, bridge of my nose, underneath my cheek bones and as well as under my eyes. After waiting a few minutes to set, I go in with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit and apply the yellow shade over top of the highlighter that is underneath my eyes. This helps to brighten up my eyes and literally makes such an improvement!

6. After we are finished highlighting and contouring, we can move onto the fun part! I can not wait to show you guys the finished look, I was honestly super pleased with how beautiful and flawless it turned out. So I am using the beautiful Modern Renaissance palette and going in with the first shade “warm taupe” and applying this above my crease. Guys, I forgot to mention, always make sure you prime your eyelids first before applying any eyeshadow. I can not emphasize how important this step is! You are applying this shade above the crease to act as a nice and subtle transition shade.

image1 (35)

image1 (11)

7.  Next, you are going to go in with the shade “love letter” and apply this beautiful pink to the outer V of your eyes. I would highly recommend taking small bits of this product at a time as this palette is extremely pigmented. For this look, I built up the colour to my desired look. I also used a small blending brush to make sure there were not harsh bits. You want to always ensure that everything is blended in nicely. I then dragged my fluffy brush across my crease and distributed product to the inner corner of my eyes. This creates such an interesting look, and I can say I have never thought to do this kind of look before! You also want to ensure you are not getting any of the pink shade in the middle of your lids, as this will be replaced with another colour.

image4 (2)

image3 (13)

image3 (12)

( I honestly did not know how much my eyes would pop using pink shades!)

8. After applying this shade to the eyes, I am now going to go in with the shade “Vermeer“, and apply this to the middle of my lid. This is going to act as the “spotlight effect“, and you will clearly see why! I could not get over how pigmented each colour was! It literally was mindblowing and I was so pleased! You want to not use too much product when completing this step, as you only have a small area to cover.

image3 (6)

image1 (5)

image2 (17)

9. After creating the spotlight effect, I then went in to create a winged liner effect using multiple products. First, to create the gel liner across the lid, I went in with my “Essence Waterproof Eyeliner Pen“, and dragged this straight across. I then went in with my “Maybelline Master Duo Eyeliner” to create the winged effect. I do love this product because it allows for some flexibility when deciding how thick you want your wing to be depending on how you are holding the pen.  However, I found that it takes a few tries to build up the product ensuring it’s completely black and matte. After applying my liners, I then tight line my upper lash line with the “Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner  Gel Eye Crayon“, which is absolutely unreal. This helps pull the entire look together!

image2 (16)

10.  I am now going in with my favourite mascara recently which is the “Benefit They’re Real” mascara, and apply this to my top and bottom lashes. I am always going to go back in with the shade “love letter” and apply this underneath my bottom lash line acting as a pink eyeliner.

image2 (23)

image1 (4)

11. Now for the lips! I am going to be using the Mac lipliner pencil in the shade “Soar” and outline my lips as well as fill them in with this shade.

image3 (16)

12. Now for the last finishing touches! I am going to be going in with the “Glow Kit” and using the shade “Kitty Kat” which is a beautiful pink shimmer and applying this above my cheek bones, bridge of my nose, middle of my forehead, and just above my upper lip. I am also going to be taking the shade “lit” and applying this over top of the previous highlighter to add a more dramatic effect.  I am also taking my favourite blush by Nars in the shade “deep throat” and applying this to the apples of my cheeks.

Eyeshadow Tutorial Perfect for Hazel Eyes

Eyeshadow Tutorial Perfect for Hazel Eyes

Processed with MOLDIVHappy Sunday my beauts ! I hope you guys are having a wonderful and relaxing Sunday as I know for sure I am. I absolutely love Sundays because they are literally dedicated to doing nothing whatsoever…. well in my case blogging but you know what I mean! I am feeling motivated again today which is honestly such a nice feeling to encounter so I am for sure taking advantage of it 100%! I decided to dedicate this blog post today towards a makeup tutorial strictly on a beautiful look for individuals with hazel eyes like myself !  In reality guys, anyone including individuals who do not have hazel eyes can wear this specific look, but I found that this eyeshadow look really made my eyes pop and stand out. I literally always pinterest or look up different looks that other bloggers have uploaded dedicated to those who have hazel eyes. You can find numerous different looks for both day-time and night-time which is honestly super helpful. I decided to only use my new Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay for this specific look that I am going to show you beauts today. I have always known for a fact that hazel eyes are complimented well by greens more specifically olive greens and gold shades. When trying to come up with a nice eyeshadow tutorial that would compliment my eyes, I was happy to have noticed a lot of gold tones within the Naked 2 palette as well as a beautiful green shade located in there. Honestly guys, it all comes down to experimenting with the different shades in your palette to create a look you are happy and content with. I literally just sat down at my makeup table and just started trying out different shades and seeing which ones look good with each other. I only basically used some light brown shades, green shades and gold tones for this eyeshadow look. So I came up with a gorgeous look that is honestly appropriate for both day-time and night-time. If you are more of a natural/neutral type of person, you may find this look more suitable for those evening events, as there is a tad bit smokinessyness to it. So shall we get started?

bbbbbRight away guys, you want to get your hands on this bad boy. Like I mentioned in my previous blog, I purchased this palette with the two other Naked palettes within the 3ome Naked Vault package. I absolutely love this palette. If I had to pick which palette I loved the most I would hands down say the Naked 2 Palette as of right now. I love all of the brown shades, and I often find that I am always resulting towards using these shades on a daily basis.  Literally just go to your local Sephora and pick one up, you will not be disappointed whatsover that is for sure!

dddSo first you are going to ensure that your eye lids are all primed up before applying any of the eyeshadows. As you may all know I have been using the same primer for almost a year now, and it is the Kat Von D High Voltage eye primer. This primer is unreal, hands down. when your lids have all been primed, you are going to first go in with the shade “booty call“, and apply this all over your entire lid. This colour is super subtle and will act as your base for this makeup look. Don’t worry whatsoever if you notice that this colour really is not standing out that much, for this look you are going to focus more on your crease and outer corners as your main focal point.

Processed with MOLDIV

vvvNext, you are going to go in with the shade “tease“, and apply this right within the crease of your lids. This shade is absolutely beautiful and I literally use it in a lot of my makeup looks. This shade is going to act as the transition colour. You are then going to grab one of your fluffy blending brushes and blend away! You want to ensure that the shade is properly blended within your crease and that there are no harsh lines whatsoever.

Processed with MOLDIV

cvvcvcvcOnce this is properly blended you are going to go in with the shade, “pistol“, which is that lovely olive green shade and apply this within the crease and in the outer triangle of your lid. Feel free to add as much shadow as you wish depending on how dramatic you want this look to be. Please be aware though that these eyeshadows tend to cause a lot of fallout unfortunately, but it is nothing a little under eye concealer can’t fix when you are finished to clean up the look! You are slowly going to start to notice how your eyes are starting to “pop” with all of these different shades put together. This colour is obviously darker than the other shades we have been using, so be sure to take the time to blend “tease” and “pistol” together.

Processed with MOLDIV

fgfgfgfgYou are then going to take the shade “half-baked“, and lightly push this shade into the middle of your lid. This is a very shimmery colour, so by pushing the shadow into your lids instead of how you usually apply eyeshadow, you are ensuring that you get all of the product on your lid.  Guys, this shade is honestly so beautiful and looks absolutely gorgeous with the brown and green shades we have already incorporated into this look. You can then go in with the shade “foxy” and apply this colour into the inner corners of your lids just to make your eyes appear brighter.

I always love to go in with the lightest eyeshadow shade and apply this into the inner lid. I literally find this step super important when trying to create a flawless eyeshadow look. You can also use this shade to highlight your brow bones as well, as it acts as a great highlighter. I then went in with a soft brown liquid eyeliner to line the tops of my lids. I usually always go in with my black liquid eyeliner, but to achieve more of the “golden-brown” look, I thought this was more appropriate and would compliment my hazel eyes better. I love using my Tarte Clay Paint Liner as  well as the applicator brush that comes with it when I am creating a soft and gentle look. After creating a soft wing as well, I went in with my  L’oreal Telescopic Mascara in Carbon Black and applied this to my lashes. I always ensure that my lashes are dried before applying a second coat to the top of my lashes. I always find this step helps to add more depth and volume to my lashes. I forgot to mention that I then went in with the shade “pistol” again, and applied this underneath the bottom lashes. This really helps pull the look together.
