My Collaboration with “Bloom & Blossom”

Good morning beautiful souls, welcome to my channel if you are new! Or, welcome back if you are returning! So happy to have you back! So I know it hasn’t been the most easiest couple of weeks that’s for sure. Whether you are practicing social distancing, in self-isolation or even quarantined… it’s not fun or easy. I know this comes with a lot of brainstorming! If you are a momma, this calls for keeping your kiddos entertained all day, which I am not a parent myself but I will not judge you if that cup of coffee secretly has some baileys in it, just saying! I give you so much credit and together, we will get through this. I truly believe in the importance of empowering individuals during these crazy times and giving out a bit more extra love than usual. We are all in this together.

On my channel, whether it be on my blogging site or on my Instagram feed, I always try to keep everything more upbeat and positive. I have always been the more optimistic type, but trust me, I don’t shit rainbows and butterflies if that is what you think! I have my days but for the most part, I love providing unique, fresh, upbeat and positive content for you to view! During these tough times, I am going to be on my A game 110%! I am way way WAY beyond excited to share this wonderful collaboration that I was so honored to be apart of! So, without further or due, shall we jump right in?!

When it comes to Spring Time, I always love a couple of things. First, a pretty good spring outfit of course, second, some cute spring accessories. But, there is something missing if I do say so myself. Since I am always pretty much carrying around a drink with me at ALL times……. what if your drink could look hella fashionable!? Would you be down? I sure would be! That is why I can not wait to share this amazing company I was so fortunate to partner with for this collaboration! I partnered with this amazing company called, “Bloom & Blossom”! They provide a whole bunch of adorable and unique products on their website involving CUTE sayings! From ceramic mugs, crew neck sweaters, decals, tumblr mugs, you name it! When I say this company has the cutest sayings, I mean…….they are STINKING CUTE!

I absolutely love the name “Bloom & Blossom!” and I wanted to know how owner and creator, Kennedy Stanton, came up with it! Kennedy states, “It took me quite some time to find a name. I didn’t want something cheesy I wanted something light, pretty and different. It’s a good reminder for me that we have to bloom & blossom in life to be who we are meant to be. I believe we do this over multiple phases within our life, remember we aren’t meant to be stagnant”. I absolutely LOVE this and the backstory behind this name. I am always so curious behind company names and I find this meaning beautiful. I seriously could not agree more with Kennedy’s thoughts behind this, so true & accurate!

I was also very curious as to how Kennedy started her lovely business, and what the process was like creating it! I have never owned a business myself so this really fascinates me! Kennedy shares that her work started as a hobby as she never actually had the intention of making it a company. She states, “Oddly enough the first item I sold was funny egg cartons with sayings on them. They blew up for me locally and I couldn’t keep enough in stock. Then I moved into apparel and people were buying those from me. They kept saying I needed to do this as a business. So finally I started my social media approx 9 months ago, my website 2 months ago and then incorporated in January of this year”. That is absolutely unreal and I am so proud of you! Who knew it would’ve started from egg cartons! That is amazing. Kennedy is a prime example that if you set your mind to it, you can do anything, just have to stick to it and keep going! Her business is so creative, and the sayings on her products are hilarious, cute, sweet and classy!

I was beyond excited when Kennedy wanted to collaborate with me! She had gifted me this beautiful Custom Tumblr which I seriously can not get enough of! I had always wanted my slogan on a mug/cup and this turned out AMAZING! BEAUTS…. when I received this in the mail I was blown away at how perfect it turned out, she did a beautiful job! Did I mention the colour is breath taking too! I received mine in a “Rose Gold” shade, and there are hints of sparkles in it as well, so stunning! She has so many colours and designs to choose from which I love. Her tumblr cups are safe for hot and cold liquids, stainless steel, and are 20 oz. These retail in store for around $20.00 which is amazing considering the quality of the product and how much detail she puts in! I am seriously going to be carrying this around with me EVERYWHERE, move over boring water bottles, this new fella is coming in to STAY. Some of the amazing colours that she has includes, “Matte Rosewood, Matte Blush, Matte Sea Glass, Matte Black, Matte Midnight and also Silver (they are all absolutely flawless and so aesthetically pleasing!). My product also came with care instructions as well which is always great to have, so you know how to properly take care of it!

I don’t know about you beauts, but I swear I live for products with adorable sayings on them such as mugs and cups. Each morning, when I go and grab my coffee I always have to make sure it is in a cute mug….am I a little extra? I swear this puts me in a great mood, starts my day off right, and also just makes me feel dang good, anyone else!? It’s all about the little things in life.

“They say good things take time, that’s why I’m always late!”

I have to say I am beyond proud of Kennedy for opening up this business and owning this herself! She makes everything, packages everything up, and still works full-time! Can you say GIRLBOSS or what!? She’s amazing, and so inspiring as well! You can clearly see all the hard work she puts into her company that’s for sure! Of course you can’t forget about her fiance who is her biggest cheerleader! Love that so much!

I want to personally take the time to thank her for allowing me to collaborate with her and this beautiful company! She truly is going places and can not wait what the future holds in store for her! I had an amazing time conducting this blog post and showing you beauts just one of her gorgeous products! If you beauts wish to check out some of her amazing products you can reach her on Instagram at “@bloom.n.blossom.designs” and you can check out her website at :https://bloomblossomdesigns.com/. Be sure to show some love & support by giving her a follow!

Take care beautiful souls, stay healthy & keep washing those hands!

A Hint of Gold-Spring Makeup TutorialΒ

A Hint of Gold-Spring Makeup TutorialΒ

Hey there my gorgeous beauts! Welcome to my channel if you are new! I decided to change things up again a bit and show you guys a makeup tutorial that I came up with! This one is inspired by spring of course, and is called “a hint of gold “. I am going to be incorporating a gorgeous purple shade by the lovely Modern Renaissance Palette, and add a hint of gold using my Naked Palette. This is a very easy tutorial and I wanted to pass on this look to you beauts! It obviously helps to add a purple top in with this look, just to complete it! Shall we get started?

Cleansed FaceΒ

1) First ensuring that my face is completely washed and primed! My face has been hating me recently, I usually get breakouts on my chin, if you guys have any suggestions on how to get rid of that acne let me know!

Cover them pimps!Β

2) Voila ! That’s a little bit better ! I did my normal everyday face routine using all of my facial makeup applicators including my lovely beauty blender! I also applied my contour and highlighter.

The EyesΒ

3) Going in with my beautiful Modern Renaissance Palette , I am going in with the purple shade labeled , “Buon Fresco”, and applying this all over my entire primed lid. I am dragging this colour into the crease as well just to ensure every part of my lid is covered. Applying this to my crease as well helps the colour look more blended and not so harsh.

4) I am then going in with the lovely Naked PaletteΒ and taking the shade “Halfbaked”, and applying a small dab, literally one stroke, to the middle of my lid. This helps create the spotlight effect that I discussed in my previous blog posts and looks absolutely stunning, hence the hint of gold.

5) I am then done with the eyeshadow of this look, yes it was that easy, Β and now adding a winged liner and mascara.

6) Of course, I need to add some false lashes, this is optional! I absolutely love the way of false lashes complete any look and pull it all together . I also put on my favourite lipstick ever, the NYX Cosmetics Liquid Lingerie Lipstick in the shade ” Embellishment”, and applied this all over my lips. I added a few more accessories to the look as well such as a beautiful light purple satin choker.

And voila! A gorgeous purple spring look with a hint of gold, perfect for day time and night time.

On a bad day, there’s always lipstick”Β

I hope you beauts enjoyed this short makeup tutorial perfect for spring! Make sure to follow my other social media accounts located in my bio for the latest updates!

“A Pop of Colour”- Spring Time Look

“A Pop of Colour”- Spring Time Look

Happy Saturday beauts! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, spring time is here and I literally could not be in a better mood. I absolutely love spring time and already created one spring time makeup look for you beauts. I literally think the more looks the better when it comes to spring, there are so many different looks you can create, I literally get way too stoked for life when it comes to eyeshadow. I came up with this look yesterday, and thought “hey I really like this look, I think I’ll make a blog on it”. So here we are! I absolutely love how subtle this look came out. It is super classy with a pop of coral colour for the lips, so stunning. I don’t know what it is about coral colours, but I absolutely adore them, the colour is flawless. So again, I did not include a full face tutorial, as mentioned before, I particularly use the same products a lot of the time, so did not want to be repeating myself for the 100th time. Shall we get into it?

First, I went in using my Morphe 350 Shimmer Palette, of course, obsessed right now, and applied this beautiful gold shimmer to my entire lid. Yes, I like to mix up the order sometimes when it comes to my crease and lid. Somedays I like to apply my crease last or first, depends on my mood that day and what I think would be easier for me.

I then went in with this light pinky shade and applied this to my crease with a fluffy brush.

(very subtle look right now, and looks so gentle which I adore)

I then am going to go in with this darker pink/orange shade, and apply a small amount underneath my lower lash line to add a pop of colour to my eyes. I then made sure this was blended thoroughly and even smudged it.

I then went in with this light cream shade, and applied this to the inner corners of my eyes to make them appear brighter.

After the shadow, I applied some liquid eyeliner on top of my upper lashes, and also applied my favourite mascara! I did not create a winged effect for this look because I did not want it to be too dramatic, but feel free to add one! After my mascara had dried, I applied some false lashes that I purchased from Shoppers, believe these were called “flirty”.

Lastly, I applied some of my favourite coral lipstick by Katy Perry Covergirl in the shade, “Coral Cat”. This shade is absolutely stunning and I love it because it was so cheap, I am pretty sure under $10.00 which was a steal for how pigmented it is.

And Voila! A super subtle spring makeup look with a gorgeous pop of colour!

“Too glam to give a damn”

I hope you beauts enjoyed this makeup look tutorial! I absolutely loved how this turned out and how beautiful is it! Be sure to subscribe and check out my other social media sites to stay updated, I post weekly!

Spring makeup look 2017

Spring makeup look 2017

Hello my gorgeous beauts, can anyone guess what today is? You got er, it’s the first day of Spring! That is honestly so exciting, pce out winter c ya next year. I absolutely love spring, I think it is so beautiful especially when it comes down to makeup and different gentle looks you can create. I decided to obviously use my “Modern Renaissance Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills”. I wanted to use the more pinky shades within this look! I think that it’s absolutely perfect for the Spring weather, don’t ya think? I also decided to do something a little bit different this time. I am going to jump right into the eyes of my tutorial, and not really go into too much depth with the face makeup application. Usually, I tend to stick to the same routine when it comes to my face makeup, which is a personal preference. If you guys are interested in the products I use for my face I highly recommend checking out my other recent makeup tutorial videos. Okay, let’s jump right into those eyes!

image1 (44)

  1. First things first, you are going to grab your Palette and lightly drag “Buon Fresco” into the crease. This is such a beautiful purple colour and looks absolutely stunning.

image2 (21)

2) Next, you are going to take the shade “Tempera” and apply this across the entire lid. This is a cream colour but is extremely pigmented. I thought this made the look look very subtle and gentle, just like Spring!

image3 (15)

3) Next, you are going to take the shade, “Love Letter”, and apply this to the outer V. You just want to ensure you are only taking small amounts, as all of these shades are extremely pigmented. I built up the product to my desired look. Β This shade helps create more of a dramatic look.

4) I then went in with the shade “Vermeer” and applied this to the inner corners of my lids. I then took my black liner and made a winged effect and also dragged the liner across the top of my lids. After applying my liner, I went in with my favourite mascara right now the , “Benefit they’re real” mascaraΒ and applied this to my upper and lower lashes.

image4 (10)

5) Lastly, I finished this look with some pink lipstick. I used my Mac lip liner in the shade , “Soar” and coloured in my whole lips without using an actual lipstick. I then put on some false lashes that I purchased from Shoppers and Voila!

Spring daytime to nighttime look 2016!

Spring daytime to nighttime look 2016!

IMG_3088

Hello my beauties, I hope you are all doing so well! I know I know… I literally have been MIA! Where the hell have I been might you ask? I have been super super busy with school work and my exams as well. I probably will not be blogging for a little bit after this because I am headed away to Mexico, but I will for sure upload a blog about my trip! I have been nonstop writing papers out of my bum and can finally say ” I do not have to write another essay ever again”.. thank god for that! I have also been busy with my new apartment and rearranging everything in there so there’s that. I will for sure be uploading an apartment tour later on when I am finish decorating and what not since I pretty much just started! Hmmmm what else is new? OH! I cut my hair, yes I did. I was sitting infront of my tv one day watching 90210 when I just thought how bored I was of my hair and how I really wanted a change pronto. So me being my spontaneous self I decided to chop off my own hair…. and well…. it actually turned out really well, I was impressed with my hidden talent!  Enough about my personal life and more about my blogging life! So I decided that I have not really done a makeup tutorial in a really long time and thought I might as well upload one for a change ! Since Spring is here I wanted to show you guys my everyday Spring makeup look that I have been really loving lately! I also wanted to show you guys how to achieve a nighttime look from this daytime look as well, without having to remove any of your previous makeup. Without further or do let’s get started!

IMG_3235

First, you want to make sure you are starting off with a freshly clean face. I have been currently using “Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser” everytime I wake up and I use it before I go to bed as well. I have been liking this cleanser so far, but it is one where it does not feel like all your makeup is fully off of your face, so I often have to go in with another cleanser in order to feel “clean”. You then want to go in with your moisturizer before applying any of your makeup.

IMG_3237

I next like to go in with my face primer and have been loving my “Benefit Hangover Face Primer”, which I have used in previous blogs before. I find this primer is very moisturizing and smells amazing which is a huge bonus! You can purchase this at Sephora for $40.00 which is pretty expensive but I really do think it is worth it.

IMG_3239

I apply my foundation all over my face with my lovely beauty blender. I rave about this thing all the time but I literally swear on it and have not gone back to a face brush since I started using it.

IMG_3238

The foundation that I have been using daily for quite some years now is the “Revlon Colourstay in Buff” Foundation. I find that this foundation stays on my face all day and overall has an amazing full coverage.

IMG_3243

It all depends on your personal preference what products you like to apply first on your face but when it comes down to my makeup routine, I always apply my whole face leaving the highlighting and contouring til after my eye makeup is complete. When I let my foundation dry for a few minutes, I like to go in and set it with my MAC Studio Fix powder which is my ultimate favourite. I have been using this product for two years now and it is my go-to for sure.

IMG_3244

IMG_3245

I apply the powder all over my face with one of my big fluffy brushes. I make sure that I have applied this everywhere where I placed the foundation on my face.

IMG_3250

As you can see I have used this product numerous times and I will not be stopping anytime soon! I love to use the “Kat Von D High Voltage Eye Primer” on my eyelids to ensure my eyeshadow stays in place all day long. I highly highly recommend trying this product out for yourself. I love how yellow the pigment is when you apply it to your lids, and it makes your eye shadow appear flawless. You can purchase this at Sephora for $20.00.

IMG_3247

I then like to go in and start filling out my eyebrows. I always use my “Anastasia Dip Brow” when filling in the spaces within my brows, and this product literally stays on all day with no smudging or coming off. I highly recommend trying this out for yourself and making sure you have an angled brush to go with it. You can purchase it at Sephora for $23.00.

IMG_3240

I have recently started using this palette that I purchased a while ago from Sephora, it is called ” Smashbox Full Exposure”. When I first purchased it, I was not in love with it and really did not know what looks to create with some of the colours. I found that  it was not really pigmented, but I recently started using it again with my Kat Von D Primer. I am extremely happy with the results when I use it on top of this, and have created so many wonderful looks with it! There is a bigger size palette out there of this product, but I purchased the travel size to test and try it out. You can purchase it at Sephora for $28.00.

IMG_3333

IMG_3150

I first like to take a blending brush and apply this peachy colour within the palette into the crease of my lids. I find this creates a nice and gentle look, and I really think this is appropriate for the spring time as well.

IMG_3152

Once that is applied within the crease, I then like to go in with my Colour Tattoo Metal by Eye Studio in the shade “Barely Branded” and apply this all over my lid avoiding the crease where I applied the peach colour. This creates a nice metallic colour and allows the next shadow that I am going to be applying to appear “flawless” and “pigmented”. I just apply this product using my finger.

IMG_3321

IMG_3156

I then take my next eyeshadow colour from within my palette which is a “white” colour and apply this all over the cream eyeshadow that I just applied.

IMG_3334

IMG_3158IMG_3161

Now it is time to highlight and contour! I love to use my Nars Laguna Bronzer when it comes to day time looks as it is extremely gentle and looks more natural. I apply this to my cheekbones, my jaw line, my forehead as well as the bridge of my nose. You can purchase this at Sephora for $52.00, but I highly recommend it. This product has lasted me forever and I am still not done yet!

IMG_3327

IMG_3338

I then like to go in with my highlighter and apply this to certain areas of my face such as my forehead, under my eyes and the bridge of my nose. I absolutely love using my  MAC Prolong Wear Concealer which I purchased for $26.00.

IMG_3167

(Looking Fab!)

Next, I apply my liquid eye liner to the tops of my lids in order to help my eyes stand out more. I apply my gel liner that I purchased from Walmart by Maybelline called “Eye Studio Gel liner” and apply a thin layer on top of my eyes. I also added a wing to it as well. Based on your personal preference,  you can make the wing as big & thick as you like it to be, personally I like mine more within the middle range. Some days I skip the wing process, and other days I add it in.  I apply this with a liner brush that I purchased at Sephora which makes it super easy to apply the product. What also helps me to achieve a straight wing is by using a credit card or a straight edge. You can also use tape as well which makes it really easy!

IMG_3329

IMG_3162

IMG_3164

After applying my liner and creating a wing I am happy with, I apply my mascara primer before applying my actual mascara. I absolutely love my Dior Maximizing Plumping Serum which I purchased at Sephora for $43.00. This product enhances my lashes allowing them to look plumper and fuller before I apply my mascara. I then let this product dry for a few minutes before applying my favourite mascara “L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara”to my lashes.

IMG_3328

Next, I apply some finishing touches to my face such as my blush which is called “Orgasm by Nars” and apply this to the apples of my cheeks.

IMG_3322

I then go and apply my highlighter called “Laura Mercer Highlighter” to my forehead, bridge of my nose and the top of my cheek bones.

IMG_3325

After applying my highlighter, I then move onto my lips. I first take my beauty blender which has excess foundation on it still and dab this over my lips. This helps create a nude look and it blocks out the natural pigment of your lips for the lipstick. I apply my “Dior” Nude lipstick all over my lips keeping this look more natural as it is my everytime day time look.

IMG_3323

IMG_3089
(Voila!, A very natural &neutral day time look! I sometimes incorporate a wing and some days I don’t)

NIGHTTIME LOOK

Don’t you hate it when you are going out at night and have to redo all of your makeup so it looks more dramatic? Now you don’t! I have created a nighttime makeup routine going off of your previous day time look we just have created. Pull out that palette again and let’s get started!

IMG_3335

You are now going to use this dark brown shade and apply this with a small eye shadow brush to your crease. This is going to create a super pretty shade on top of the peach colour that you already have. You can bring this colour into the outside corner of your lids as well, creating more of a smokey effect.

IMG_3336

You are then going to take this grey shimmery shade and apply this to the outside corner of your lids. This will help darken the colour and create more of a dramatic look.

IMG_3289

Next, when it comes to a  night out of course you need some false lashes! I am using my favourite Elf lashes and applying them with my DUO glue that I purchased from Sephora for $12.00 in the darker shade. After applying my lashes I then take my favourite MAC lipstick in the shade “Snob” and apply this over the nude shade previously on my lips.

IMG_3326

Processed with MOLDIV

And Voila, you are now ready for the night out! I absolutely love this nighttime look and it is super easy to achieve as well! It is way easier than having to take off all of your makeup and start from scratch.

IMG_3301

IMG_3310

I hope you guys enjoyed this Spring day time to nighttime makeup tutorial using the SmashBox Full Exposure Palette. I highly recommend purchasing this palette for yourself and trying out these beautiful colours!
